The Legion of Rowers is a not-for-profit organisation with a simple mission — to support masters rowing across the North Island of New Zealand.

We organise regattas, connect rowers, and make sure masters have everything they need to keep doing what they love.

And here's something we're proud of: the funds raised through our masters events go directly to supporting talented North Island juniors — rowers under 19 — as they compete on the world stage.

Masters rowers are the backbone of most clubs. They coach, they administrate, they maintain boats, and they show up year after year. We're here to make sure that contribution is recognised, supported, and celebrated.

Our Purpose
We run two Masters Regattas annually on the North Island and keep you informed about every upcoming masters regatta and event across New Zealand. Whether you're chasing a medal or just looking for your next great day on the water, we'll help you find it.
Masters rowing and junior rowing are deeply connected. When you join the Legion, your membership directly supports North Island U19 rowers as they develop and compete at elite level. A small contribution from many makes something remarkable possible for a few.
